CECIMO represents the common interests of the European Machine Tool Industries, particularly in relation to authorities and associations. CECIMO promotes the European Machine Tool Industry and its development in the fields of economy, technology and science

- Approximately 1600 companies – over 80% of which are SMEs

- Over 150,000 employees

- More than 97% of total Machine Tool production in Europe and more than 40% worldwide

- Turnover of € 17 Billion in 2009

-In 2009 74% of production in CECIMO countries (€ 12.5 Billion) was sold to another country, more than half of which (€ 7 Billion) was exported outside Europe.

- 61% global market share for exports
